How do u think this guy will score? I don't know how to measure myself, but if u think he is around 200", I may look up an official scorer to do it for me.

Thanks!

Beams look fairly impressive, with extras he could tip mid to upper 80s

Looks around 185. Measuring is very easy, and kind of fun. Google how to, and I'm sure you will come within a few inches of what a official scorer would come up with.

I think gross, he might be close to 200. 190+, in my opinion. Either way, that is a great buck! I wish I could find one like that one day.

I think vanilla is onto something. After looking him over, I think the front end on this buck goes a long ways in regards to spread credit given the MBs are as good as they look. 85 and 92 + 25 spread credit. 202-204 gross?? Seems like a lot but I think it's there

Get us some real numbers!!

My guess is 190 inch frame with 5 inches of extras for 195 gross. With the deductions, he will net under 180. Beautiful deer, did you find it, buy it, shoot him?

Some quick looks, I'd say he's mid-190's ish. 188ish frame with 7-8 inches of extra. When I first looked at the pics I thought not close to 200, but after putting numbers in a calculator, that's my guess. Bring it by my place and we'll find out what he scores.

That's a fantastic buck my friend. Thanks for putting the measuring tape in the photos for some reference. Given he's over 30" wide, and a 6x7, he's a trophy in anybody's book.

I think these photos actually make his rack look smaller than I suspect it is though. Because he makes that tape measure look quite small... :)

Maybe a photo with something else in it for some perspective, like a truck bed, or a person, would help...

As I look at it, I think his right antler is 80", his left 90". Add a 26" inside spread... 196" Gross score.

So much suspense.....

Tricky deer I think. I'm guessing he grosses in the high 190s, nets are for fish.

Is that a small 3rd antler in the skull plate?

nets are for fish....and for those that actually want a book buck....

...I think that is a nail hole in the middle of the skull plate....

My guess would be 189.

Some pretty good guesses here.

I measured from line, not the x as shown in the pic above.

192 3/8" gross,
182 1/8" net.

Thanks for playing!

By the way, I did not shoot this buck. It was given to me by a friend. It was sitting in his shop for a number of years.

Did you add the extras to get the gross score?

LAST EDITED ON Dec-18-16 AT 10:05PM (MST)[p]Well.....you didn't quite get it right.....I corrected your score sheet for
14985image.jpg

yes....gross is 186-2/8, net is 173-5/8.

....on a typical score sheet the extras get handled just like I did them....they never get added to the score.

....on a non typical score sheet the extras would not be added to cloumn 3.....but would be added to the net score.....
