lost 4 point on laSal Unit rifle hunt

I wish I would have found this forum sooner. On the opening morning of the rifle hunt, my beautiful girlfirend shot her very first buck just on the south side of South Mountain. There is a road that follws along the side of the mountain going East to West. She shot the buck on the south side of the road. We followed blood for nearly 3/4 of a mile beofre we lost it. We searched for the deer for days and never found it. We lost blood about 200yds east of the pond. It makes me sick knowing that it died without being recovered. The buck was about a 22in 4point. maybe 4x3. If someone has found it we would be forever grateful. It was her first deer, and she is still sick about it... The buck would have an entry hold in the front of his neck as he was looking straight at us when she shot him. Thanks so much

Good luck, hope you find him! Very possible he is alive and well. Many bucks have been shot with old bullet wounds and arrow wounds. I was helping my friend find a buck he shot through both shoulder blades with his bow this year that a couple rifle hunters found two days later and he was very much alive and well, chasing does.
