I've been hiding my son's archery buck at my brother in laws. I got it back from the Taxidermist over a month ago but have been keeping it a secret. My son keeps asking how long before he gets his mount. I told him the taxidermist took in 25 bucks to work on, so it could be a while. I just finished setting up for Christmas morning. This is what my son will walk down to.

It went great!. My son has been skiing and hitting the gym to stay football ready, so he went to bed tired and early on Christmas eve. He woke up around 2:00 am and went down for a drink. He said he as he turn the corner and saw his buck lit by the Christmas tree lights he was in shock. He stood there with his jaw dropped for at least 30 seconds before he could move. He ended up waking his siblings to sneak down to see it and they all slept on the couches/floor. He was very excited.

"Is that some of braggin rights work?"

I used Travis Nelson at Above Camp Taxidermy in Lehi, Utah. It's the second time I've used Travis and both times his work has been excellent.

The buck is now over my sons dresser in his room. Every one is happy except for mom that says his room is getting cluttered with antlers.

Well Bop is now hanging out over my sons dresser. Mom stresses that she doesn't get to decorate like she did when he was younger. Instead he just want antlers for d?cor. Here are some pics.
