Hey Guys--long time follower and first time poster here. My brother and I are looking to head out west for an Archery Mule deer hunt in January 2018. Been doing a lot of research and have narrowed down our units around the Tuscon area. Not dead set on that area, but have been seeing some mixed reviews for some (like 27). Would we be wasting our time over there especially looking for Muleys? Not looking for a handout or anything, but just some insight and advice would be helpful.
We're traveling from Wisconsin, and have had some luck hunting mule deer in WY and SD with our bows--so definitely expecting rougher terrain but have been wanting to shoot a desert Mule Deer.
Not looking to do an outfitter, but would consider paying for any consulting depending on the level or detail of insight.
