OTC deer.

For non residents:
Montana any weapon gene real units
Idaho archery in many units
New Mexico has general tags and usually left over licenses for some draws
Arizona has some over the counter with great late archery options
Colorado has a few left overs from draw
Not sure about Nevada or Wyoming

Since when did Montana offer otc deer hunts?

True NM has some leftover tags but not sure what you mean about a general tag? You can get some private land authorizations but no such thing as a general deer tag in NM.

Hunt Hard. Shoot Straight. Kill Clean. Apologize to No One.

Sorry, you are correct. I received an email earlier stating there were something like 1,300 leftover "combo" licenses in MT on sale over the net. I assumed combo meant deer/elk as that's what my out of state relatives apply for (non-resident combo license) and they receive a deer and elk tag. I checked, it's an "elk combo" license, however there is no deer. Still scratching my head as to what you get with elk for a combo?

There are no general deer tags in New Mexico, and very few leftover tags; a few m/l or archery tags in marginal areas.

Colorado has leftover tags, but you'd better be there in person when they go on sale.

Nebraska has OTC mule deer tags, but also lots of hunting pressure on what little public land there is.

Montana combo licenses come with fishing and small game. There are some unlimited deer zones, but nonresidents still need to apply by March 15 for those.

Montana doesn't have small game licenses. The combo includes upland game bird license. There are no license requirements for rabbit like Utah.
