Here is a video i put together of Santley sawyer, and some of his incredible bucks! Thought some of you guys might find it interesting...

My dad met this guy while he was on an LDS mission in Ely Nevada in the mid 1980's. Dad made a little video of him that I watched a couple of times, but then I think he recorded over the video.

He had a few good bucks at his Ely house, but said most of his racks were in a shed at his house in Las Vegas. He said he had racks from more than 50 big bucks there, all over 36" wide, which was his definition of a big buck. He said he got most of them on the Arizona Strip, but he said it is too hard to get a tag there anymore. He said they usually hunted a place due south of Colorado City where they could winch a jeep off a cliff into a canyon, and then drive up the canyon a few miles to camp. He never saw a track from another hunter there. He said he could find two or three good bucks there every day, with a "good buck" being "36 inches on up".

I think the area in Arizona where he used to go is a wilderness area now, so you couldn't do that anymore. He said he also got several good ones in Nevada.
