Colorado Unit 25/26 Archery

Buddy and I have archery mule deer tags for unit 25/26, Flat Tops Wilderness. We plan on hiking 6-7 miles into the wilderness area for 8 days to get away from pressure. We have both hunted unit 75 twice and know the level of fitness required for this type of hunt. Not asking for specific hot spots but any recommendations/ advice on the area or good trail heads to start at would be greatly appreciated. Out of state and had to resort to the leftover draw this year so we were not able to get in a scouting trip. Thanks

How did you hunt go? My brother and I have the same muley tag for 25/26. We'll have OTC elk tags as well this September. I have an idea of where I want to hunt, but I am trying to find the most efficient trail/road system to get there.

Ha! I made that mistake a few years ago. Truck made it up, but that's a brutal route in. I'll invest in an ATV before I do that again.
