I have the any deer tag for this unit and I have never killed a whitetail buck. For those of you that know and before I set my focus on a whitetail, what could I expect as far as mule deer quantity/quality on this unit?

It's been about 7 years since I was there but I archery hunted mule deer in Fall River county, I think inside the black hills is pretty much all whitetails you got to get into the prairie to get mule deer
