My twins first buck!

I had the privilege of taking my 12 year old twins on the mountain for their first official deer hunt (as tag holders). After a pretty quiet morning on the muzzle loader in which we passed on a couple small bucks this guy stepped out of the pines. It was a fatal mistake. Both my boys raised their smoke poles and dad counted one, two, three and BOOM! Both smoke poles went off as one and this buck dropped in his tracks! Dad could not have been more proud! We knew he was nice but his mass impressed us! He has just shy of 36" of mass and scored 165. Hell of a first buck on a Utah general deer tag!

Only one hole! Perfect kill shot, couldn't have been better! When we walked up on him we flipped a coin and Traeger won the flip so his tag went on him.

Awesome buck! They'll have to take turns hanging it in their rooms. (Or their side of the room if they share.)

That is so cool, They got a right pretty looking buck, Now that mount will cost dear old dad a few $$$$.
My brother told his Grandkids He would mount every deer head they get if the buck was bigger then their deer from the year before. HE'S is going broke. LOL
They just keep getting monsters.

Awesome!

Did you offer to carry his gun back while they drug out the deer? :D :D Seriously, I think the deer outweighed them combined!

Around here the coin-flip loser tags it. The winner gets to keep hunting thinking it's a 2fer ;-)

Cool story and a beautiful buck. Love the mass. The boys are lucky to have such a great dad to take them hunting. Congrats to them and you!!
