My buddy?s boy has a Book Cliffs deer tag, and he has a vision disability, so he gets to hunt a late season Nov. 1st ? 8th. He will be hunting the Nash Wash side of the unit, and we are looking for a good place to camp. Somewhere that is centrally located. We are only familiar with the Nash wash area and was wondering if there are any other places to camp. We will be camping in trailers, so weather might be an issue, and limit are choices. Now for the $100,000 question. Where might we find some good bucks that time of year. Hopefully the rut might be starting by then, and bring some bigger bucks out of hiding. We are all looking forward to his hunt. Should be a great time with family, and friends!
Thanks for any info.

I've helped on several of the season extensions and every buck we've killed came out of Nash. There are equally as good of bucks all across the south face, but Nash has the highest concentration of deer (That's why everyone knows about nash), therefore your odds in Nash are higher than everywhere else, especially after the regular season once the crowd leaves. There are plenty of places to camp in the Nash area and if it's looks like weather will be an issue just camp closer to the interstate. It's the same grey clay that turns to gumbo across the entire south side, not much you can do to get away from it.

Good luck
