Scoring Question

So I was scoring a deer and I wasn't sure how to proceed. Here is the problem. The deer has a cheater coming off his G3 that is not quite an inch. It doesn't count as a point. So When I measure along the outside of the point this "cheater" is in the way. So do I just measure up and over it since it is not a point?

LAST EDITED ON Dec-03-17 AT 06:21PM (MST)[p]Where the abnormal point protrudes, go around it then back to center line (both sides).....take the shortest measurement.

Thanks bohntr. Does it matter that it is shorter than an inch? It doesn't count as an abnormal point because it is only about 2/3 of an inch

My pleasure.

It doesn't matter if the 'abnormal' point qualifies as a point (length).....it's still a protrusion when measuring the G3 center line.
