This was my number two buck on the Henry Mt. archery. I believe I would have killed this buck if the Mgmt. Archery tag had not been established. I was close to him three times but a management guy really wanted a 22" 3 point he was hanging with. My #1 was awesome too. But a guide had an archery tag that year and had his eyes on him. I didn't want a foot race each day to get to the buck. I came out of the hunt just fine and I will post some of the bucks I chased over the following few days.
It was a tough year there in my opinion. Lots of predators in the mix too. Daily encounters with coyotes, mt. lions, and bobcats.

Yes I did kill one.
It is in this forum around Sept 5th.
But I did not kill a buck that we had scouted. So, I thought I would post my number 1, 2, & 3 bucks here for people to see. I will post more soon.

Great stuff.

Judas........

That fist part where there are 4 bucks(not the skyline part)....the one you called no 2, a dink, and two other good deer. How big do you think those other two were?

did someone get your number 1 or 2?

BTW I think I like the one you got the best.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-09-18 AT 02:36PM (MST)[p]# 2 was killed by a muzzleloader hunter. He was a real pretty buck and scored in the low 200's.

He had a hell of a bachelor group with him most of the time. Two four points with one pushing 30 and the other tall and plenty wide with lesser forks. He also had a 34" 4x5 with him at times.

Every big buck we scouted was killed by the end of the rifle. Not sure about the bucks in the bachelor herd though as far as scores or if they survived.

I'm not sure I'd let a Management Tag Holder who wanted to kill a dink 22" 3-point push me off a once-in-a-lifetime buck like this...

I hope we get your next post with what you came away with soon... :)
