I have enough points to draw 62 or 70 for 3rd season deer. I am moving to Moab so they are both close by. I have 5 points, but I probably only need 3 to draw either unit.

Any suggestions? Feel free to send me a Pm.

As a non-resident, it will take 4 points to guarantee a tag, for both units.
Don't know about unit 62, but unit 70 has dropped considerably, both in quality and quantity.

I would not hunt either unit. I have hunted both and the quality has declined considerably. You will have a hard hunt with either tag. If I had to choose one I would choose 70 over 62 because it is an easier unit to hunt with much more appealing country to glass and is much more accessible for the country the bucks will be in that time of year.

Kpbennion,

I have been living in Glendo for two years, but I took a big promotion that is moving me substantially closer to family.

This year I am a man without a land so it is a good year to hunt deer in Colorado as a non resident.

I loved living in Glendo, but I could not pass up this opportunity near Moab for my family and career.

I'm a gambler but I sure wouldn't waste points on 70. You?ll encounter a lot of elk hunters and a vast majority of the deer congregate in generally speaking small area.

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

I hunted 70 3rd season in 2017, and agree with what others have said...considerable decline from what it used to be.

I'm not sure about 62, I've posted about 70 3rd season before. In 2006 big bucks running all over. In 2014 I hunted it and it lacked in number and size of bucks dramatically, I didn't even think I was in the same unit. 2016 my uncles party hunted it and 2017 a good friend of mines party hunted it. Still not even a fraction of what it was in 2006. I'd look elsewhere.
