Colorado 66 2nd season

I'm leaning towards using my points on this hunt. I talk to the bio and he made it sound pretty good.
I was wondering if any of you have first hand experience with the unit?
I have done some digging in past threads and everyone agrees the unit is not what it was 10+ years ago.
Is it still a good hunt?
I'd love to hear any Experiences on the area.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-30-18 AT 02:12PM (MST)[p]I pulled the trigger and applied for 66 second season. I hope we draw. I'm tired dodging blizzards,it's time to hit it! I've never hunted the unit,but we hunt 67 for elk. I've been in 66 a couple times scouting. I'm hopeful.

I hunted that unit a couple years ago second season. Deer can be way up high, like above timberline, or way low... especially second season. Weather obviously plays a factor. If you draw, shoot me a PM and I can give you some places to start.

Thanks for the responses and the imput.
I'm really leaning towards applying.
I would like to burn my points and start applying with family in a unit we could draw every few years.
