Another Big Buck to Get Us Excited

This buck actually grew about 4 inches on his back forks from the end of July to when I got him in September. That day in September was something else. Went from a huge low to a mega high.

I drew an excellent muzzy deer tag and that velvet buck got the blood pumping pretty good!
I'd say high 180's flirting 190 great buck!

Wow, looks awesome in velvet. I'd put him in the same range as everybody else. Call it 185 +/-

I just taped him out at 188-5/8. He's shrunk some, cause I'm sure he measured over 190 right after I got him. This buck is one of my best trophies ever. It was so cool getting him with my bow. I had seen the buck scouting, but had also seen a big 5x5. The 5x5 was more impressive in late-July, but when I saw this one in September, he had grown a lot more on his back forks than what I would have ever guessed....about 4 inches on all 4 back tines. Crazy, huh?
