Opening day of our elk hunt my wife took this buck. About an hour before this she was going back and forth trying to decide weather to shoot a 26" low wide 3pt. After watching him she decided to pass and we went back to looking for a bull. Found 2 bulls in a small timber pocket, I hiked back out and around below them. Jumped them didn't get the shot. Bulls were bedded 50 yards from the buck according to the beds in the snow. Buck came out first and my wife seen the horns and never looked twice at the two nice bulls. I came out of the timber expecting to find one of the two bulls. Wife joined the 30" club and the 200" club that day. Bucks got lots of mass, some neat webbing, a 32" spread, 6x6 frame with decent eyegaurds. 208" official score. Couldn't be more proud.

Hope this helps get everyone motivated for this fall! Not far off now.

Congrats on that buck to you both. Very typical big Idaho buck, mass and some junk!!

PS I thought only AZ, UT, CO, and WY had bucks like that.

She choose well twice. First you then that awesome Buck.
The Bull will be bigger this year.

Dream buck! Thanks for sharing! Would love to joint the 200" club at some point in my life.

That buck has it all.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-15-18 AT 05:27PM (MST)[p]A legendary day indeed!
Family yarns will always include a recap of that one.
Well done!

Great buck. Congrats to both of you. And I can't imagine an elk I'd shoot if I knew that buck was in the area.
