Does WY 34 compare to UT Book Cliffs?

My 14 year old daughter drew a WY 34 deer tag and i'm trying to equate the unit to a Utah unit since we're from Utah. From the research I've done it sounds similar to the Utah Book Cliffs in terms of lots of small 4 points. For anyone who may have hunted or been in both units, is this a fair assessment?

I was in the unit last year hunting antelope. I contemplated applying for unit 34 this year but decided to hold off. I would say it's comparable size wise to the book cliffs, however, I believe you will see more bucks in the book cliffs than you will in 34. I saw 15-20 bucks a day in 34 with nothing over 150?. It's very easy to double or even triple the number of bucks you will see in the books. Either way, it should be a very fun hunt for a youth hunter.

I second what shootem had to say about 34. I haven't hunted the book cliffs so I can't help with a comparison. We deer hunted 34 two years ago and saw 30-40 bucks a day. Most in the 130-140 class. Most hunters will just road hunt because there are so many bucks around. I agree it would be a blast for a kid because you see so many deer without having to work real hard. There are opportunities to get off the roads a bit and find better bucks for those willing to throw on a pack and hump it a little. Feel free to PM me for more info.
