Decent buck

I took this video last year while a friend and his daughter were stalking him. She ended up shooting over him and we never could turn any of them up again during the hunt.

My guess on him is 27-28 wide 170-175. What's your guess?

I think your guess is low as well. I'd sure say he's over 180.

Even without eye guards I have him right at 180"! Beautiful buck to bad she wasn't able to connect. I have him just a little less on width then you do but no doubt in my mind he is closer to 180" then he is to 175".

Hopefully you guys might have a chance to chase him again this year...?

Here's the video of the miss. Don't be too hard on me I'm 700 yards back stuck in the truck with 2 broken legs. At first I thought she had hit him but after looking at the video 100 times and following tracks with no blood it was maybe a scratch if that. I have seen him around since but haven't been able to turn him up this year yet.

He might have got a hair cut, but I don't think any blood was drawn lol.

Ya, 2 broken legs sucked but I still killed my best bow buck to date, on crutches, in a snowstorm.

Great to hear about your hunt last year. That one will stand out in your mind forever.

Just curious what angle would you say the shooter was at when she took the shot? It looked like the bullet hit right in line with the deer's neck if it was a perfectly broadside shot... I was thinking there must have been a decent quartering angle to explain where the bullet hit the ground behind.

I have watched it a lot and if you stop it just right at the 1:29 of the video you can actually see the bullet hit the ground and the deer has not even reacted to it yet. Thus the reason I thought it was a very narrow miss along with you.

She was too the left between me and the deer. Her dad said she would've been a bit forward but still should've done the job.

Kenny in Slo Mo it looks like a haircut for sure. I bet she see that monster buck in her dreams still. 2" lower and she would spined him. I believe he is a 180 class buck also.
Hope you find him this fall and load him in the back of a truck.
