Will bucks head out of the high country if there is no snow but cold temps. Like 20 degrees and under consistently? Thanks. I am talking mostly about the first week of October.

Cold weather and COLD winds will move some of them, But maybe not down. But into a more sheltered area. But they will still be up high.

If there's not much good feed up there, they'll at least drop a bit lower for feed. Cover is also important. When you say high country, that means something real different based on where you're hunting.
But in early October, I think many of them will still be very near where they spent their summer.

Okay thanks. The high country here in Oregon is 8000-9000 feet. It has been been pretty cold but still no snow.
