No kidding. How many high fence Texas critters have made the book as "fair chase"? I guess to each his own, I'm not saying that I wouldnt go on a hunt like that but entering a "canned" critter into the book aint right. There should be sepperate categories for high fence/ranch and non fenced ranch or public land animals. A world record critter, no matter where it is from, is still a world record. A "book" animal taken under the true rules of fair chase is still a much higher accomplishment and should be treated as such. If I could afford to go on a hunt like that I would. But I wouldnt even consider trying to sneak it into the books. Hang it on your wall, show your friends and leave it at that! Oh,.. and maybe sit and drool over it every now and then.
