Colorado Unit 141

I hunted this unit, which includes the Pinion Canyon Maneuver Site, during muzzleloader season five years ago. I saw some nice bucks, but it was a drought year. Has anyone heard if it's improved? Is it easier to stay on the maneuver site? I have five preference points and was thinking of going back. Thanks

The deer populations have gone down in the last few years and they are being hit by one of the worst winters in modern history down there. I'd save your points for a muzz hunt in 61 if muzz is your thing.

Buckspy is right. The deer aren't what they used to be there and with this snow I would hold on to your points.

What have you seen for winter kill this year? Is it bad? Or not so bad?
