Okay Cass, I deleted it, because you said please, and keep in mind,I am not trying to bash you at all, just want no rumors here. Like a lot of people have said, if you know something, then tell someone, it is the right thing to do, not come on here and say you have a little secret. I don't take back what I wrote, I stand for what I believe, not to be mistaken with trying to be above anyone or be better than anyone, just doing a job here. Moderator or not, I have gone to the mat here for guys that I never met because it is what I believe, and have probably passed judgement on others, but that doesn't necessarily make me right, just opinionated.

The whole point of the matter was for you to not start anything..rumors are no good...not for us as hunters or as individuals.

I just have to ask Cass, don't you get tired of it all?? I want to believe you, I really do, but man, back it up. I would have never said anything if you hadn't responded the way you did in the original post by Kilowatt...you said some harsh things that is why it was deleted and why I wrote the post I did.

Oldoregon....you are a great guy, and myself included, emailed your daughter back and forth with tips and advice, so I don't believe that anyone here is taking the approach you mentioned.

I would love to hear about the bull...but with FACTS. NOT SOMETHING SOMEONE HEARD!!!!! So, if anyone has any facts they can post about it (including you Cass) please post away.....

IN due time.
In due time.
Get sick of what? Aint nothin here to bother me. I see what I see and just because I can't afford a camera up until now has been a problem.I have no still photo and this has been a problem.
Video on the other hand hasn't hence why me / my father are thinking about compiling a video.
I am looking for a really good Video camera / still camera. I have found the Still I am buying but I am willing to go 3-5,000 for a Video Setup. So if anyone has any ideas throw em my way.

-Cass

Cass, why don't you take some of that 3-5,000 and buy the Still you found. You'll have plenty left over for the video camera. With the technology available today at the prices it is available at, you can shoot Panavision quality with a Sony Digital 8. I have taken some of my amateur video and turned it into GD oscar winning footage on the computer. I have also taken frames from video and they make great stills. You don't need a Rolls to drive to the grocery store.

I have separate money for the still.
I already have that picked out and am ordering it next week.
I just need some adive on Video.

If you have a problem with cass, take it to a PM,thats the best way to handle it.

I don't have much advice on the video, I shoot with a Sony Digital 8, my budget isn't that big, and I don't pretend to be an expert on it. My camera does everything I expect it to do and I couldn't be happier with most of the footage...However, you get what you pay for, I know that from experience. Hopefully you picked out a good still camera, I know that there are some pretty impressive digital cameras out there. Good luck.

Cass, you definitely don't need to spend $3-5k on a video camera. In the sub-$1000 range, you can get a Sony digital 8 that will take as good of video as a lot of upper end cameras. I have a Sony TRV-740/840, it has 1 Megapixel resolution, with 1 Megapixel digital stills. I think this is about the highest resolution you can get for still pictures with a video camera.

If you want to step up in price, you get into the Sony VX-2000, or the Canon GL-2 or XL-1S for the $2000 and up price range. These cameras incorporate 3 CCD technology, which has to do with the way the color is brought into the camera. These cameras are bulky and heavier than the smaller Sony's. I prefer the Sony because the video is nearly as clear, for the money you get near professional quality, and they are small and easy to pack around. I would imagine 90% of the professional videos are taken with the Canon's.

The Sony's have a 15X zoom. I bought a doubler lens for mine, so I now have 30X zoom, all optical. Don't even worry about the digital zoom, it is pretty much worthless. Let me know if you have any more questions, and I hope this helps.
