My boss would like to go on a guided elk hunt next year. Money isnt a option to him. He was wanting me to find out where would be the best place for he and his brother to tag really big elk. What are some of the better throphy elk guiding services out there? They are bow hunting and would like a opportunity to take 360 plus bulls if possible.

I would suggest unit 1 Arizona if they can get drawn. www.arizonabiggamehunting.com is arguably the best for this unit. I was in Duwane Adams camp and most of the clients shot at 360 - 385 bulls but missed. 8 out of 9 hunters killed bulls for Duwane's archery season, that is pretty good success rate compared to something like 24% in the AZGFD regulations.........Allen Taylor......

I WOULD TRY TROPHY OUTFITTERS WITH VAN HALE FOR EASTERN ARIZONA OR WESTERN NEW MEXICO.

I would try Kennedy Hunting Services in NE New Mexico using Private Land Permits. They also have a top notch ranch in Colorado - if price is no option both locations would be pretty good.

AZ: John McClendon
UT/NV: MossBack (Doyle Moss)
NM: New Mexico Big Game Outfitters or Southwest New Mexico
Trophy Outfitters.

I've Guided for both Van Hale and Duwane Adams this year and they both have good opporations. If you don't kill one with Duwane it won't be cause you didn't have a chance.

Money not an option?? the Indian Reservations in the White Mountains of AZ. Thats a no brainer..... now lets see if money is really no option.

Bucks and bulls outfitters out of Lindon, Utah are a great service and their tags are guaranteed. About $12,500 will get you a great hunt and probably a bull over 350 b&c. Last year they killed three bulls over 370". Steve

The marques brothers out of Nevada are supposed to be the best Nevada Guides. Couple of ##### heads if ya ask me but they know where they're at. They have been chasing a 410 bull up there all summer long. If somone hires them during this season they'll get him.

Guys that for your replies. My boss is checking into all these options. I have been telling my boss how much fun elk hunting really is, so he decided he would try it out one time. HE said this will be the only time he goes so he wants the best of everything. Thanks again.

If your boss draws a tag I would recommend Mullins Guide Service. We used them on our trophy hunt this year. A guide to me is not just about knowing how to get to the animals but on making the hunt a lifetime memory. This is a family operation. A dad Jim sr., three sons Jim jr., Matt., and Tom. These guys are great to be around in the field and camp. Not only did we fill all 3 of our tags but they were all trophy bulls. Mine over 380. On the archery hunt Matt was 6 for six with his hunters. I saw the pics. They don't have the fancy ultralight planes and helicopters some guide services use. ( which is questionable) But they are 100% recommended by us! Jim sr. guided in New Mexico for 20+ years.

Timberline Outfitters- Thomas Brunson-McGill Nevada

Thomas's subguides even got a lady with a broken back a nice 5 point last season. The lady couldn't even walk 50 feet from a rig. Thomas will work his rear off for his clients.

Last year Mossback did not have a US Forrest Service permit to guide in Nevada, although his trucks were seen daily in North Spring Valley.

Doyle Moss of Mossback productions, his record speaks for itself. Talk to him early because landowner tags for Utah sell in in the early spring.

John McClendon in AZ, if you are interested in scoring on a huge bull. The guy guides more hunters to huge 370+ bulls, than anyone in the nation.

Lance

Three C CWMU in Heber UT. You can buy a landowner tag and get a bull anywhere from 360-400. Jerry Christensen is the Landowner

I went on my first guided hunt this year with Chad Carter who works for Doyle Moss, Mossback Productions. Chad and Doyle were right on the money. I would unequivocally recommend these guys to anyone looking for a quality hunting adventure.
