The Nuge.......

OK, so the wife and I were bored and decided to see some of the local Nuge concert last night in Tacoma. Never been before, so I said what the heck. Not really my thing, I've been to like two concerts before, but I went mainly because I enjoy Ted's enthusiasm for hunting. I will say this; Ted's performance is entertaining and he still puts on a good show. Right up to the point when he stops playing and starts talking. First he saluted GW Bush and in the SAME SENTANCE salutes our Constitution... I went crosseyed at that, then he starts bashing European's and my wife being from a European family didn't like that too much. He also bashed fat people, etc., etc. while I'm not fat, I think if I was I'd have jumped up there and kicked his skinny @$$ -kind of uncalled for. I truly would like to ask him how he can salute GW and the constitution in the same breath, can anyone Dem or Pub please shed some light on that one???

That is interesting since Bush called the costitution a " Goddamn peice of paper" , I know some like him but I think Ted's a dork.

Dman,
As I type this, right this very minute, The "Nuge" is in my hotel. I'm the manager on duty tonight and Ted is here getting ready to do a show here in Boise.

One of the very first concerts I ever went to was Ted Nugent and Kiss. (I'm dating myself now.) He put on a great show back then, and good guitar players just don't lose that dexterity until they get real old.

I wish I was going!

LAST EDITED ON Aug-28-06 AT 09:00PM (MST)[p]Ted is definately a different dude. I have been able to sit down and chat with him (and play a little guitar) on several occasions. (Many years ago) When he is away from a crowd, he is a totally different animal. He is calm, attentive and very fun to be around. Get him in front of a bunch of folks and the "alpha male" comes out and demands attention. I dont agree with all of his ideas, but deep down, he seems to be very genuine.

I do like some of his music though. And I enjoyed his book, "God, Guns, & Rockin Roll"

Can't you lefties post anything without a bash to the President. Your act is getting tired! Just because your interpretation of the constitution doesn't agree with mine or the President's, doesn't make us wrong and you right. Why don't you lighten up a little and talk hunting, this is a hunting website by the way. Frankly I find your snide little insults disrespectful. There used to be a way of dissagreeing with someone in an agreeable manor, but that way seems to be lost on the Gen Xer's. Sit back, insult and offer no solutions. But if that is what floats your boat... there are people dying right now to fight for your right to insult and vomit hatred on whomever you choose. Your hatred is consuming and blinding you! You can't even make a simple post on a hunting website without spewing venom! I hope that venom doesn't choke you some day!

I shouldn't have generalized about All Gen Xer's, not all of you are disrespectful.

You may have a point but here was mine. it was said that Ted saluted Bush and the constitution at the same time, the same Bush that said " Stop throwing the constitution in my face, it's just a goddamn peice of paper" not to mention all the runs he's made at goiong around it. does that sound like a man who holds the constitution dear? I think not. I may have a spanking coming now and then but pick your fights. by the way this is where people talk non hunting issues, look at the heading.

Where'd that come from? Not directed at me I hope. I thought everyone here was entitled to their opinion, I guess even when it's based on fact the policy for some is still -you can only mention it if I agree with it. Sorry, turn the channel, no one's forcing you to play, you did the point and click all on your own. I made several points about Ted making different remarks, only one about GW which fact says is an ironic statement I felt worth mentioning for the sole reason the constitution was mentioned on a recent post. I was actually not very seriously jabbing at Ted, he still has some good qualities and has done some good things, though he's also a nutball. I thought that was obvious...

I didn't say he wasn't. I'd just like him to explain why he is adamantly opposed to the North American Union, but salutes GW and the Constitution in the same breath? I have Ted's Bio and have been looking for a time to go hunt with him. I know there are some friends of his here, that's why I was hoping someone could shed light.

it's the union that costs our country so much greef.
but personaly I think its on its way out.

kind of like the cartal/ mophia.
the all want a piece of the pie adn only put out for the chosen few.
see the figures this week.
the union is down to 15% of the work force.
and dropping.
