I think one of the most important is that EVERYONE must go well outside the front door of the tent to relieve themselves!

My father always told me "There's nothing like spending a week in deer camp to really get to know someone"..That is sooo true...
I have been hunting with the same fellas for a long time and the one fast rule we have is everyone jumps right in and gets camp set-up, wood cut, chitter dug, etc....If you don't you don't go next year!!!!. The other thing that will get you axed is if your tight with your wallet...It's a group effort with group costs...We all throw in x amount of dollars for gas and split food up evenly...I am blessed with a very good bunch of fellas!!!!.

No farting in MY camper.
No crapping in my little camper jon.
If your gonna drink you best byob cause I am not supporting you.
Pick up the trash you throw down I am not yo momma.

What, no girls? How do you all live? We pick up what we pack in and more. Crap down the hill from camp. Thats about all that has not already been said.

Rule #1 You can do anything you want to do.

Rule #2 Nobody can make you do something you don't want to do.

We've found that less "government" makes for a more adult way of living on vacation in the woods. Kinda like gun laws in Washington D.C. More rules didn't help there. It's the people you pick, not the rules that you set.

I agree with JB.! I want to hunt with Mark! Everyone else that replied must be old and not into making your time in the field enjoyable!

We don't really have any rules, just a mutual respect for one another. Everyone knows they need to pitch in with whatever, packing out meat, cooking, dishes, whatever.

I guess about the only rule would be no "friendly" gestures towards each other. That just don't fly. hehe

'Making' people conform to your list of rules isn't what's important. What is important is hunting with people who already have the same list (morals, ethics etc.) that you do.

You gotta go with marlinmark. Who wants to do what they love to do "WITH RULES"? If i wanted rules, i would just go to work.

Rules?
I go hunting to get away from rules. Everyone haves fun, no one cares how much fun anyone has.

Two rules;
#1 - no alcohol
#2 - crap well away from camp in an area you pick, bury it and mark it well.

Other than that, if a person doesn't pull his/her own weight and hunt responsibly and ethically plus being a decent person to be around, they won't be hunting with me again. I put being a good citizen above being a good hunter. No rules other than the two at the top. All the rest better come naturally.
