I posted this photo of my Utah elk in mid september just after the hunt. I asked if anyone knew how I could share the video we took of the hunt with others on the message board. I now have the software to make video in the real player format. Hope you folks don't mind me posting it here.

Nice work on a great bull!
I was surprised though after your shot that you didn't quickly put another one into him since he was still standing and didn't go down. My motto is one that you shoot them till they drop, bullets can do weird things, such as glancing off bone or ribs and directing them away from their vitals , leaving you standing there wishing you'd have shot again as he dashes off.
Fortunatley it didn't happen, again congrats a good bull. elknut1

Sweet! That was Awesome.

IMO: When the second bullet was finished being chambered the elk was already going down. No need for a second shot.

Sorry about the server problems. I have contacted comcast and they will have the problem fixed by wednesday or thursday.
