Land Stewards

I found the "Wounded Elk" post very interesting.

Just thinking about it, this subject touches on many ethical issues that we deal with in hunting. We individuals get bent out of shape sometime because someone is in "our spot" or on "our land", or in some way affected us taking an animal or being in a place doing what we want.

We can only do so much sometimes to deal with those who would be unethical or disrespectful or even illegal. But with all that aside, we...all hunters...have a responsibility to God's creation to treat it with respect and see that the land is not ruined and animals are not wasted from our individual actions. I'll take the punishment if taking this responsibility is not legal.

I think it helps sometimes to sort things out when faced with a decision on how to act if we think of ourselves as stewards, and put personal gain/ego and sometimes even what is legal aside.
