Here are the pictures that "Bemis" asked me to post for him of his dad's Muzzle Bull he got this year. The Gross Green score was just over 380. Congrats to your dad and you can fill in the story Shawn.

Cass, please tell us where this one was taken. I know you can do this by identifying the shape of the clouds going over the ridge line, and by the juniper tree. Sorry could not resist. Only one guess this time.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-11-03 AT 06:48PM (MST)[p]Where ever it is, it looks more like Antelope country.

If that were the biggest one I ever took in my life, I think I'd be pretty darn happy with it.

"Great Bull",in Nv.this will be most likely the last ever Bull taken by this Hunter.Successfull hunters have to sit out 10 yrs, before applying again, and then build/buy about 8-10 Bonus Points for this Premium Hunt. This antelope "Looking"country is N.of Wells and S. of Jackpot in S.E. Nevada.Come on mid April so I can APPLY ---

LM - NRA, NAHC, RMEF
That is probably a ploy to throw everyone off !! N.E. - S.E.
pretty close or slip of the finger?

Maybe Bemis or his dad could tell us their story and shed a little light on how long his dad put in to draw that tag.

Assuming he drew the Muzzloader only hunt for residents in 76,77,81 he was the only hunter, because they only gave one tag out. They're are no tags for non-residents there.

The hunter of this great bull is from Wendover, NV and is a Nevada resident. There was only one hunter in 2002 according to reg book, so don't know if it was the same this year or not for this draw of 76,77 & 81 all up in the northeast corner of Nevada.

My "ERROR",not trying to throw anyone off.Just for the Record,I ment Unit 076 is in N.E. Nv.Some "GOOD" bulls live in this country, and in 2003 NDOW,put out 2 tags for Residents wanting to hunt with a "Smokepole" for hunt #4156 ---

You hit it right on the nose, this is pretty much a once in a lifetime opportunity. My dad had been applying for 10 years and now can't put in for 10 more. This hunt was one of those rare opportunities that we all dream about, we were in the middle of good bulls for 7 days of hard hunting with only one other hunter in the unit. Several blown stalk opportunities and a couple of missed shots later we found this bull in the perfect place. We snuck on him 3 different times before we were able to get within 100 yds. Dad set up the shooting sticks while the bull was feeding and the herd was starting to head out. One shot from the 50 cal. T/C and this big guy went down for good. Oh what a feeling!! I couldn't be happier for him, and if he never shoots one this big again I think he can live with that. I just hope my turn is next, I have 11 years invested.
