While hunting deer this fall, I saw a pretty cool truck accessory. This guy had taken about 10 inches of the base of a shed elk antler (including the pedicle) and had it as his shifter. The grip was the widest part of the base and he had shined the top before applying the finish. it was pretty neat. Unfortunately, I had to sell my pickup this summer for work purposes, but I would love to do this on my 00 mustang. Does anyone do this or have a elk shed-base that they would sell me?

Just thought it was cool.....Andy

My CJ 5 has the same thing, I would never cut one of my sheds up but I lucked out. A friend had a elk shifter on his jeep, when he sold his jeep it he gave it to me.

I have a several new sheds that will end up rotting in the yard. Let me know how much of the antler you need (from the burr up)

I have one that I had for my truck but when I sold it I took it off and kept it if you wanted to pay the shipping I would just give it to you.

I got a whole pile of sheds lying on top of my garage that I will probably just through in the dump ;) If you can't find anything let me know I have a friend that probably has a "few" laying around for just that reason

Took a nut bag off a spike elk back in "89" and put it on the shifter of my 72 chev. dried around it nice and tight. Couldnt get the sh!t eaten grin off my face when a girl would get in and start rubbing my fur covered shifter. When I ended up married I took it off. Should have kept the nut sack shifter and dumped her.
