I took pictures of that bull I will post as soon as I get the pictures back. Here In Colorado you could hunt 3 cows the first hunt was in Sept on the Nature Conservancy a special hunt next I applied for the dec 1 to dec 31 hunt in Unit 82. next pick up a leftover cow for private land only that one runs from Sept 1 to January 31 in unit 82. On the Nature Conservacy ther is a herd of 5,000 Elk this year was my second hunt there they dont advertise this hunt you just sign up for it around april anybody can applied it is a first come basis, it is gaurantee meat it is only for cow Elk. just call 719 587 6900 and they will give you the info. its easy too you just park your vehicle at the gas station in Mosca little town in the San Luis Valley, and they take you in ther vehicle, sometimes you might have to walk but most of the time you drive right up to them. Dont get me wrong when you do have to walk its no walk in the park 2 years ago I had to walk 7 miles in the sand to get my Cow but the cow are all eaten Alfalfa so they are very big and tasty.
