Hey Jeff, are you out there? This is Erik from Columbus, Ohio. I just wanted to say hi and see how your season went? My bow hunting trip to Colorado went real well. I missed a bull at 23 yards, yeh I know, I have been having nightmares of that shot for months now. Anyways, I think my friend and I are trying to get another trip together out there this year. i was wondering what you observed this past year regaring the moon phases and what seemed to be the best weeks to hunt. We hunted the first week and saw bulls everyday but it was more a morning ranch. The elk left the property to the dark timber above. i think the moon phase this past year was on the second week, I am not sure, but am curious as to how this affects the hunting. Yeah I'll send you an email. Short of it... I shot 2 elk this year! A small bull during archery season and a cow 4 days ago. I posted a picture in the elk forum back in Oct. of my bow kill, it was my first elk and first bow kill! I think the post is around pg. 8 and there is 2 posts, choose the one with pictures.

Congrats on your elk, I didn't know you got one. I have been away from the board for a while. Aftermy trip i had to spend time with the family and the newborn. I hope to tag one this year though. Do you ever make it back to Ohio at all?
