Okay, I'm calling in some favors this year. My good friend's wife drew a Dutton tag. She's an awesome bowhunter, but somehow the tag # was wrong, so she has a rifle tag. Any and all suggestions are graciously requested. Email me if you can help; [email protected]

As for me, I drew a big fat usual NADA!!

She should do well, they will have a lot of fellow competitors, since they have 30+ other permit holders to contend with, they have closed some roads as well, which could make it better in the end, try the Kingston canyon side(north)
At night this year I've see elk crossing back & forth, over from the Monroe.

P.S. how did she know it was a rifle & not what she intended to put in for.

How did you know what tag she got? And how would you know for sure you didn't draw? Last year it took weeks to complete the charging of the credit cards. Just wondering if your connected but we know you are. lol.

Predator,
My younger brother took one of only two non-resident tags for the Dutton archery elk. I suspect my older brother and I will be doing some extensive scouting for him. We live close to the Dutton and should be somewhat well schooled after a lenghty arhery hunt. We would likely pass on the information to you, for whatever it is worth.

Thanks to everyone for their replies and e-mails. As for my credit card, I used debit, and it should go right through. So far, there is ZIP ZILCH NADA. As far as her tag, ya know, I don't have that answer! That's what she told me, cuz I know she's always been a die-hard string-flipper!

If I was connected, I'd be slobbering all over a desert bighorn tag!

THE ONLY PREDATOR NEVER TO HUNT A MATURE BULL ELK IN UTAH!!

Sorry, your not the only preditor out there to never chase a bull. I've got alot of point and nothing to show for it yet. I got another BIG FAT NADA also.

Mt. Dutton Has some good bulls, just get out early on opening morning, You will need to beat the crowds. Good Luck. I think I would prefer the rifle anyways, since I have never downed an elk yet. First with the rifle, next with my bow, if there ever will be a next.

Good Luck, BiggDogg

I wouldn't worry too much about the crowds.....Just be ready to hunt some rugged stuff. Lots of good bulls! Archery....Rifle...Muzzleloader, doesn't matter, it'll be fun!!!
