Well I got permission from Brian to post the picture. But you'll have to wait for the contest to read the whole story. Shot him at 40 yards and he traveled only 30 before expiring. He gross green scores 380 4/8. Brow tines are 19" and 20" and his swords are 22" and 23". He has 13" bases and carries the mass all the way through his main beams. Beams are 48" and inside spread is 42".

Nice, nice bull! Love that dark rack with a little ivory on the tips. Congrats!

What kind of broadhead were you using? That looks like one serious hole it punched through that bull!!! Great bull, by the way. Congratulations.

Congratulations on a fine Bull. Will just have to wait to hear the story. Thanks for posting the picture.

Brian

Niiiiiice!

Did you bust a shoulder? or is it just cut up? It's amazing the power some of you archers get with your rigs!

Congratulations Again,

LAST EDITED ON Sep-21-04 AT 04:22PM (MST)[p]I was shooting 125 gr. Snuffers on GoldTip BigGame 100s weighing about 530 gr. The hole you see in the picture is the entrance hole which was about 3" straight above the legbone and 3" behind the shoulder blade. The arrow then broke the off side shoulder and partially exited about 15" (you can see the broken portion that exited on the left side of my quiver in the hood). I shoot a 70# MQ1 @ 29" draw. I was completely surprised when the off side shoulder was broken. I didn't think it could be done with an arrow. But it was broken about a third of the way above the elbow.

Dub,
Yeah, he has a shorter one on the left. He will net around 374 NT or 365 typical.

Thirds are right at 20". Believe it or not, while I was taking a break boning out this bull, I called in a bull that dwarfed this one. Called it to within 40 yards of my bro (no tag) and his camera battery quit!! Legit 400-420 non-typical. Nice area when you kill a 380 bull and he isn't even the biggest bull on the ridge much less the mountain.

Hopefully I draw next year...he and I have a date!!!

All I'm getting is the red X. I'd love to see it if you'll post it again.....Steve

That is a beautiful bull! Congrats and thanks for sharing. Good luck drawing the tag next year. Truly the stuff dreams are made of.
