I drew out an antlerless tag for this region and this will be my first elk hunt. I know of a couple of areas that are good for elk (I bowhunt deer in this region) but I don't think that my vehicle can make it up to the best area (ruts are too big). I wish I had an ATV to get up there. I was wondering if anyone knows if the elk are spread out or in large herds right now? If anyone wants to share info with me I would appreciate it.

You'll find most of the cows in herds. You can come into the top of Lowpass from the ridge on top and hike back down toward current creek. There are several roads to get to the top of the ridge. Good luck!
