LAST EDITED ON Sep-27-04 AT 06:25PM (MST)[p]My cousin drew this tag. Is it worth filming? 6 scouting trips have uncovered a couple 400 class bulls but will they last 'til the late season's the question?

realized after posting I mis-spelled Nevada...any way to change this?

Too late now to Edit. Anytime someone makes a post and realizes that they have made a mistake or and want to correct it, they have ONE HOUR from the time they made the post.
All you have to do is go back to your post and click on the EDIT at bottom of post and then make the corrections.
We know which state you are talking about, so don't worry about it.

How did you guys do on your elk hunt? I went with some friends and they both killed 6 point bulls around 320. We had alot of snow so it sure made it interesting.

It's always worth filming, if just for yourself and to share with us here at MM. :)

LAST EDITED ON Jan-11-05 AT 06:48PM (MST)[p]My cousin did score a decent 6x6 bull on this hunt. The first week was plagued with unusually heavy snow--they couldn't get the horse trailer into many of the trailheads they had wanted to. Plus the horses couldn't travel worth a hoot. They had spotted some good bulls the first week. At the end of the first week they met an outfitter with mules.

He and the outfitter headed up and into an area where a 376 bull had been harvested earlier in the season.

They were within about 100 yds of a 3 bigger bulls in the 360 class, but got winded and didn't have a good shot.

His bull is about a 325 with one several broken off points. One G1 is broke off and only 4" while the other is 16"--it had decent mass @ 9" bases. Good daggers and whalebacks.

I'll be getting the pics this weekend or next week to post...it was probably close to if not a hunt of lifetime for my cousin and a respectable tribute to our grandfather's memory--he hunted nevada every year from roughly 1915 - 1980 and had taken some fine, fine bucks.

Glad to here of your cousins success. Nevada elk hunts sure are hard to beat.
