Was watching the Outdoor Channel yesterday and on one of the shows they showcase a trophy taken. The trophy they showed was a 421" bull taken in the gila taken by joe something. just wondering if any one has seen pics or info of the story.

I have watched many outdoor shows, Dave Watsons in particular, they all throw out scores on tv. I am not perfect at scoring but they some times stretch the score. One in particular was a muley that Dave shot and his guide told him it was a solid 180 class deer and in the next breath it was 24 inches wide. It was narrow and not that heavey. So the same could be true of this elk. I would believe a post on here way before I see it on some comercialized tv show.

That bulls been all over the net for a year now. Search around for Gila bulls and you'll find it. Its 421, and its a monster!!

It was taken 2 seasons ago. I talked with the guy about it and we compared notes. I missed that exact bull the year before he shot it. he ended up killing it less than a half mile from where i got my rushed shot.
If anyone want exact GPS locations of the area email me...... NOT
Small world how i came to talk to him. I had been wanting to talk with him ever since i saw the picture because i knew it was the same bull. I mostly wanted to know if it had a healed wound from my arrow since i never did find my arrow i wasnt sure if i hit it or not, and wanted relief that it didnt die unrecovered. So happens 2 years later i call a guy up about a piece of land for sale in Iowa to buy as deer hunting land, and after small talk i find out this is the guy!! small small world.
BTW, i missed him clean... rush shot into the sun and no rangefinder. This is all after i stalked to 30 yards of him bedded. he got up and walked out fast when i let one go on a hope i had the yardage right when he got to an opening. I looked for hours alone just for the arrow since i didnt see the flight path.
It is a true 421, and it was featured in eastmans mag as well(cover too).
