Hey Steve

Just wondering how you did on your elk hunt. We didn't draw and our hunt plans changed for the year so never made it up. Hope you did well.

Hey Gene, I ended up with a cow the second to last day, my buddy missed a 5x6 mid week. He made an awesome stalk in the sage and choked, oh well. We saw lots of nice bulls, we hunted a 360"ish bull for 3 days and just couldn't get a good shot. Pretty slim pickens in camp this year but we managed 3 cow's out of 5 of us and had many chances. Just got back from our Wa.state muley hunt. I killed a small 4x4 on saturday. and my buddy Kev took a nice 3 pt. on monday. Not a bad year so far and I still have a spike elk hunt at the end of the month. How has your season been going ? Where did you guys end up ?
Steve

Steve,

Congrats to you and your group on hunting so far this year, and hope that last hunt is a success too.

Brian

Brian, thanks for the congrats. The spike hunt won't be like chasing the big boys but a nice little Elk is always welcome to the freezer. How has your season been, your probably waitin on the rut to kick, over in MT. Hope your season is a success also.

Hey Steve.. Congrats on the hunt success sounds pretty good. We had to dump our out of state plans for the year as I got called back to work and my partner having to go in for surgery but we're saving our luck for next year for sure. Did get in a few early season Blacktail hunts and managed to get my nephew his first deer so not a total loss. Had a great time with family and friends and got out in the woods and that is the main thing. Tried to email and pm you a message but seems to be disabled. Good luck the rest of the season and thanks again for all the advise earlier.
