Just got back from deer hunting there yesterday. Didn't see any elk, or fresh sign at all. There is not much snow in the park as of yesterday. Dosen't that hunt start like the 18th? You never know, there could be A LOT of snow up there by then. I did see a monster bull down near Cody though. Don't know if that is in your area or not, but it was on the highway that takes you to the east entrance to the park. He didn't look too good. All skinny, crippled up in the hind quarters and had hair falling out. He was a very, very heavy 6x6, a little broken up, but still a hog. I don't think he's going to make it too long. So for anyone around that area if you drive up the 14,16,20 about five miles from the park, look for ravens and magpies along the river bottom. He was right off of the highway standing in the same exact spot for several hours. Its sad to see something usually so proud and regal looking so bad. He looked like he just wanted someone to put him out of his misery. He must have been in a fight with another bull or maybe a car?
