The Wired Bull Elk
The pictures below were sent to us from Trapper in Oregon. He got the pictures from a wildlife biologist in Wyoming with the following information.
A hunter found this elk tangled in the guy wires of a meteorological tower near Elko, Nevada. It appears that he finally pulled down the top half of the tower and the weight broke his neck. We have all talked about bird collision potential with such towers and guy wires, but who would have thought about an elk getting tangled in the wires.
