Well, for presssure it's like any other unit that has roads to every canyon and clearcut during elk season. Pretty much a highway of road hunters. There's really no reason to scout now, but more so during regular deer season is the time to be looking. There are a lot of elk, but a lot of people go after them so don't be expecting to be by yourself and probably will have to go pretty extreme to be the first on the spot. First season you get the drop on the elk out of the gate. Typically they're around the same area you scouted them in but the key factor is the weather usually isn't very good at that time. Second season typically gets a good storm and lasts longer but it's more of a random chance because the elk usually have been bumped by then. So it's really pretty even, just your choice from there.
