I took the first bull in 2002, and the second bull in 2003...I was on a 7 year run and then in 2004 missed a good 6 point because of the hidden branch thing...Enjoy

Great Bulls! I'm on one of those runs myself Bull7. Each yr I say well don't get excited cuz the streak is going to end. But they sure are fun while you're on one. You'll start a new one this yr. You're way ahead of the average!! Congrats.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-15-05 AT 03:54AM (MST)[p]man i can't see the pics for some reason. I will say that the desolation unit has some good bulls in it i have killed three bulls there. I have seen some big bulls in that unit but the are far away from roads. I shot a spike in 96, then a 5x5 99 and a 5x6 in 02. But i saw a big dude in 03 but i couldn't get a shot he come bustin through the tree doing about mach 10 he was probably 340 class bull. i about fell down a slide trying to get a shot. It is amazing what a large set of horns can do to your legs.

I'm with ya on the legs thing...I get that feeling on spikes still...Here are the pictures again

Nice work Bull7.

I just moved to Oregon a few years ago to attend EOU. I have found the hunting isnt half bad if we're willing to do some legwork. Here's some pictures of the bulls I've harvested over the last few years. None of the big boys yet, but I'll get that 360 bull soon enough.

Nice work to you bigbulls...Are all of those fellas from Oregon??? Looks like you did your homework if you are new to Oregon and downing bulls like that...Good work

Yep, still attending, but I'll be done in June. The top bull is actually from Montana. This last season, my hunting partner drew a limited entry tag in Oregon, and I drew Montana, so I hunted Montana and called for my hunting partner in Oregon. This year I should be hunting in Oregon again.

Good looking pics, at least someone is having luck. Chased a couple 360 bulls last year. Man that is awesome chasing them in the rain and listening to them thrash trees and bugle from less than 100 yards. Just wan't in the cards. This year WILL be different. Congrats and remember, aim small miss small.

Bull7,
I think I must be hunting just down the road from you, depending on which side you hunt. I hunt just on the corner of Ukiah, Starkey and Desolation. Not too many elk in my little area this year, but did get my elk on last day. Lots of cougar around, my buddy had one follow him this year. Anyway, nice bulls, hope to get one next year, already planning.

traks,

Cool, look for the grey chev with the primos sticker on the canopy. I'm a business major, and I cant wait to be done. I dont know how you can handle living on campus dude. Are you a freshman?

I am from NV and I was looking for some info on archery elk hunts in Oregon. I was looking at the Snake River, Imnaha, Santiam and Mckensie units. I have never set foot in Oregon and plan on buying an over the counter tag. Any info to get me pointed in the right direction would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Todd
