Jackson Hole Wyoming

If any of you have the chance this year make sure you get up to Jackson Hole and check out the Elk Refuge. There are around 6000 elk on the refuge right now with a lot of great bulls.

The herd looks good and they haven't had to feed yet due to there is only about 5 inches of snow on the refuge, that is why there is not that many elk, they said 2000 left the refuge last week to head back toward the park.

Hopefully the winter stays mild for all the wildlife in Wyoming.

You also need to check out the buck that is hanging out in the town of Jackson. He is a slammer.

We watched a buck from Mcdonalds last year. He and a few other bucks were hanging around the power lines. he was also a whopper!

Well where are the pictures? Hell we want to see them to.

The buck you saw from the McDonalds parking lot hanging out up on Budge Drive is a toad, typical framed 30"+ deer! Unfortunately I wish I could tell you more, I have pictures of him but I hadn't bought the new lens for my camera yet and he was a ways out there and the picture does not do him justice! The picture i took was from last winter as i lived about two blocks from this deers wintering grounds, he lives in some peoples backyard. I live in Hoback Junction now, so I really didn't see him this year, I still work only one block from McDonalds at a architecture firm so I see these and many more deer and elk everyday.

Bigmuley,
So whats the scoop on the buck hangin out by the Jct.

My brother told me he's a hog.

There's suppose to be another one north of town that everyone has been watching, I need to make a trip up and get some pics before they drop.

I have some pics of him if someone wants to post them or see them. He is a 5x6 that is 30-31" wide.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-03-05 AT 08:28AM (MST)[p]Wyoxtec,

Actually I posted a photo in the mule deer sectin about two or three weeks ago of the buck hangin out in the junction. At least if that is the deer you are refering too! That is a deer I have seen and have been watching since. He is in danger this season if i can find him this fall, hopefully i will be able to watch him all summer long. he is easily seen, but getting to him can be a different job altogether! Your brother you say, who exactly is your brother, i just put two and two together, he is one of my roommates if i am right.

The photo is on the forth page of the mule deer section. "Snake River Buck" the photos do not do him justice as everytime I have seen him since he grows and the numbers start tossing and turning in my mind.

The buck I am talking about is the buck that is behind the Mcdonalds in Jackson. I pictures of this buck.

NTHERUT,

I have seen this buck, in fact I too have pictures of him, however, my photos suck because it was before I got my new lens and telephoto converter for my camera. I would love to see a good picture of this buck. I have not seen him this year, then again I really haven't had much time to look for him. There are always deer running around the hillside behind The Mcdonalds on Budge Dr. I can't help you post though, i always have to have someone post my pictures for me. Do you live here in jackson or were you just visiting.

The buck i have good pictures of are from a buck I have been watching down in Hoback Junction.
