Can someone help me with this unit? I noticed that the landowner vouchers for this unit are rather hefty, so it should be good, right? I also checked the points list, the best I could tell, someone can get in with 6 or 7 points. Looking at the maps it appears to be mostly private, if so, will anyone let you hunt at no cost or for a reasonable trespass fee? Any help will be appreciated.

Lots of private land with some landlocked public land. Can't say for sure about tresspass fee, but I would not hold my breath. The bigger ranches are in RFW and the ones that are not are being outfitted.
I would not base a decision on landowner tag costs, in some instances those are "very" inflated. In fact, I was offered 1 for free yesterday (assuming the landowner draws the voucher). I know of several that were given away or sold for 1/4 the "advertised" cost by some, last year.
It looks to me like some are trying to make more than a living off brokering tags.
