Looks like I drew the Premium Ltd Entry Elk Hunt...

Now what?

1) Get in better shape.
2) Start practicing with the bow
3) Mortgage home to buy bullets to shoot the .338 more.
4) Quit my job so I can hunt from August to November...

Sounda about right, except you wouldn't need to do #3 if you did #2, or vice versa.
How many years did it take to draw?

Some of us have waited an awefully long time to have the "feeling," and believe me when I say that I have waited along with everyone else. The feeling will be nothing like the shiver I expect when the big one bugles through the early morning.

I was charged the $508 Premium Ltd Entry fee. I am in for Mt. Dutton. Which means I can hunt archery, any weapon, muzzle and late any weapon... I wish I had enough vacation.

I was there 2 of the past 3 years with friends and family and helped a couple of great guys collect a couple of outstanding bulls.

I wish no one any ill will. I have suffered the "unsuccessful" notice as many times as anyone...

All I can say is... Whooo Hooo.

My card got hit too. I'll be on the Mt. Dutton early hunt. For over 15 years I've been putting in. Finally! The next 5 months are going to be a blast.

Well congrats ya'll. My card got hit as well but not for an elk tag. I drew a limited enty archery deer tag. So next year I will begin the long process of playin' the game with all you limited entry elk hunters. I guess it's another year of the reg. archery elk huntin'. Good luck 338magblaster and to all others who have drawn. It was another year of no credit card hit but this is only my 5th year so I may have many more to go. There is always plenty of hunting to do regardless but was hoping for that "High" that comes from knowing you are going to have the chance to see some big bulls. Another year perhaps. I got a hit on 4/14 as well for $795 on the LE Bull. Based on my first choice I should be hunting early season SW Desert any weapon non-res.

Thanks DEO but unfortunately there is no way I can afford a guided hunt. I've hunted the area on the Nevada side for a lot of years for elk, deer and antelope so I know the general lay of the land plus I have friends in Cedar City who know the area very well. If the hunt is anything like what my Nevada Sept. muzzleloader hunt was like 7 years ago it's going to be a blast.
