Nebo muzzleloader Elk

Both my father and I drew the Nebo muzzle loader elk. Any info that you're willing to share would be appreciated.

I drew that tag also, but I admit I will have a big learning curve on that mountain. I have done most of my hunting off the skyline. My wifes cousin drew out for the Nebo a few years ago and said there are alot of nice bulls, but the terrain you have to hunt makes it a difficult hunt. The biggest obstacle I think we will face are the deer hunters that will be getting after it the same time we will. I just hope all the extra pressure won't shut the elk down. Are you from the area? How much experience do you have with the Nebo area? I will be glad to pass anything I find out along.-John

We have hunted Elk on Nebo for years,and now do some outfitting if your interested let me know.

I don't think that I,m ready to hire an outfitter yet. perhaps later in the summer after I have looked the unit over. Can I contact you and possibly talk over some places to begin my scouting.

I drew out on the nebo unit also I was a elk guide for 8 years on Deseret land so I have the experience but will gladlly pay some one to show me around before the hunt if interested let me know. I hunt during the early hunt any weapon and 9/17-9/27 want to do it with a bow. Let me know if there is any interest there.
