With the "hoochie mamma" ya got the bull by the balls.
that with any good mouth call and you can sound like a small group of cows with a calf on the side.
i use this presintation to close the distance while approching.
as you snap sticks and brush give a call.
soft and sweet, as though the bunch is on the move.
but keep focused on what your doing.
when you get as close as you dare, grab a big branch of down fall and rake the trees, brush, ground.
give a little bark on you bull call,
but don't sound huge. pretend your just a little spike looking for action, just a beginer.
if your close enough say 300 yards or so you'll send that bulls blood to boil,
he'll come.
first he'll holler, saying whats going on over there.
hit him back with a couple mews, and some little winies from you mouth call and continue to walk to him.
snap a couple twigs and keep on moving.
if he has any balls at all he'll keeping barking at you.
start looking for the perfict spot to ambush him as he approches.
as you approch don't break over any riges if you can help it.
walk the hollows and stay low.
remember he's focused on your advancement.
when you get as close as you can stand , stop make a call or two.
walk over to the side or back up and make a bull call.
then trash a tree with a branch.
wait a second or two.
he's there or he's coming hard to get his girls by now, so stay focused.
if your hunting with a buddy.
its time for him to start walking away from you while calling.
trying to stay in direct line with you and the bull.
pull him in, thats the way to do it.
when the rut is on, there is practaly nothing you can do wrong except get winded.
Hoochie Mamma for sure.
