I have hunted 16D late season archery twice. Both times I have hunted a few miles south of apache creek. Last year some friends of mine harvested some great bulls sitting on dirt tanks starting around 4:00pm. The Elk are super thick in that unit. We could here the bulls and cows talking all night. It is truly an amazing hunt. Incase you are wandering I stuck a 300-320 class bull last year. Unfortunatley the shot was too high and we could not recover the animal after two days of tracking. Try crazyaboutcoues, He's not much to look at however he can probably point you to some good areas.
