does anyone know about antler growth on elk?
do they grow faster at first and then slow down?
is width genetic or from the weight of the horns or both?
i've been watching several bulls that are pretty nice 5x5s in western wa and i'm thinking if they have 1.5 to 2 months to grow at this rate they will be huge, at least by W WA standards.
