NEW MEXICO 44/45 ELK

Have drawn a muzzloader tag for unit 44/45. would anyone out there be willing to share some basic info about the unit. wold it be best to bring horses along and hunt the wilderness, or are the areas with roads just as good. thanks.

I'm very familiar with 44/45. This is a rugged unit.....not many roads. Horses would be good if you have them. You don't have to hunt the wilderness but a horse can save your back for packing.
