The RFW review commitee DRAFT version of the final report is now on the web at the link:

You can take a gander at all the documents. The Colorado Wildlife Commision will recieve an update in Grand Junction on Thursday. The commitee will meet to discuss the CWC feedback and direction on July 18th in Denver.

The objective of the review commitee was to make recomendations to improve the program.

I am particularly excited about the growth proposal and it would be great if we can get sportsmen support for additional acres of private lands for public hunting.

I believe the public will have the opportunity to comment on the proposed changes to the wildlife commission soon.

If your in Grand Junction, wildlife commission meetings are open to the public.

I read the report and found it interesting. I wonder how Colorado hunters feel about a basic program that allows them to hunt the animals they own when relegated to mostly cow and doe tags. If the state said no to the program then would the RFW ranchers still insist that the animals stay on their property? I can't believe that any public hunter thinks that a business keeping 90% of the bull and buck tags is a good deal. I have heard all the hype about herd growth and habitat but what good is it to the average hunter? Wouldn't you be better off to give landowner tags like NM and tie full public access to their use? I don't have a dog in your fight but I do want RFW to stay away from Arizona.

I have no idea what your trying to say.....care to clarify?

Nonresidents commented to the committee, as well as residents. It was the recomendation and the concensus of the commitee that the NR restrictions on public tag quota continue as status quo.

I would define public, as anyone, non hunters included.

In terms of the private tags, there is no residency quota. As a nonresident, you can get one every year if you like.
